Overview
Proposed 2 days / 1 night
A different way to experience the mountains west of Mexico City: connect time in the Nevado de Toluca highlands with the forested country around Valle de Bravo. Rather than a summit-only objective, this is a point-to-point journey shaped around the landscapes you want to walk through and the time you have.
Xinantécatl is known for its volcanic crater and the Sun and Moon lakes; Valle de Bravo brings a contrasting lakeside setting. These are distinct destinations: visiting the crater, reaching a summit or completing a continuous through-hike are different route choices, not automatic parts of this journey.
The appeal is the transition from cold volcanic terrain to wooded walking country, with a finish near Valle de Bravo. Tell us whether your priority is sustained trekking, a gentler forest route or time at the lakes; the proposal defines the actual walking sections and any connecting transfers.

An overview of the destination, not a fixed departure itinerary. The selected trails, walking stages and transport are set out in your personalized proposal.
Inclusions & route planning
