Planning & Safety

Weather & Mountain Decisions

Conditions have the final say. A forecast, season or past photograph is not a safety clearance.

A departure depends on current conditions

Weather review should consider wind, precipitation, visibility, temperature, lightning and terrain conditions. Official closures and access restrictions must be respected. Snow or ice can change a normally non-technical trail into a different undertaking.

Change, pause or turn around

Guides may modify or cancel routes when access, weather, equipment, time, group condition or health concerns require it. Decisions should consider a safe descent and contingency margin, not a universal summit cutoff time. Travelers must follow safety instructions even if this means missing the intended summit or viewpoint.

Discuss alternative routes and the applicable change or cancellation arrangements in your written booking proposal. No refund terms are created by this guidance.
